JOANNE LAROCQUE – “GUIDING YOU HOME”

MISSION STATEMENT: To serve my valued real estate clients with my 25+ years of REALTOR® experience, knowledge & wisdom, by interpreting, illustrating, demystifying, illuminating, guiding and simplifying the process of selling and/or buying your primary residence or investment property.

A figure made of stone called an “Inukshuk” is among one of the most significant objects created by the First Nations people of northern regions of Canada. They were constructed and placed on the landscape to serve as helpers and important directional aids. Among their many practical functions, they were used as hunting and navigational aids, coordination points, and message centers. Besides indicating the location of a cache or where an object had been hidden, an Inukshuk may signify a change of direction from an intended course, or serve as a precaution or a sign to go to an alternative location. Before someone embarks on a trip, a guide who is familiar with the area being traversed shares information on the appearance and message of a particularly significant Inukshuk. They indicate the best route home through major transition points between water and land and are a welcome sign when a long way from home.

An Inukshuk is the basis of the logo of the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver. Many believe it pays tribute to the Inukshuk that stands at Vancouver’s English Bay as a symbol of friendship and welcoming.

My Inukshuk logo design is based on the symbolism of the Inukshuk, and my surname LaRocque (pronounced la rock). When selling and/or buying real estate in Vancouver and surrounding Lower Mainland areas, you can rely on my 25+ years of experience to “Guide You Home”.
